Hypericum nakamurai is closely related to H. formosanum, but differs from it in having, in addition to a distinct geographical and altitudinal distribution, smaller, narrower sepals that are reflexed in fruit, larger petals (? Always), relatively longer styles, cylindric-ellipsoid fruit, and narrower leaves.
