1. Nothapodytes nimmoniana (Graham) Mablerley　青脆枝

A tree 1 m tall, the branches angular. Leaves membranaceous to coriaceous, elliptic-ovate to oblong-lanceolate, 10-20 cm long, 5-12 cm broad, long-acuminate at apex, attenuate or rounded at base, oblique, sparsely pubescent on both surfaces, especially at midrib and nerves, lateral veins about 6-8 per side, prominent beneath; petioles 2-3 cm long, pubescent. Inflorescence terminal, cymose or corymbose, pubescent, many-flowered, 6-8 cm across; petals oblong, 3-5 mm long, 1.5-1.8 mm broad, puberulous out side, hirsute inside; stamens 5, the filaments 3-4 mm long, the anthers about 1 mm long; disc slightly lobed, hirsute on the margins and the inner surface; ovary pubescent. Drupe oblong pvoid or ellipsoid, about 1.2 cm long, slightly short pubesecnt.

Widely spread in S. India, Ceylon, Cambodia to Ryukyu Islands and mainland China. Taiwan, known only from Orchid Island and Green Island. TAITUNG: Orchid island, Chang 6238; Green Island, Chang 3576.
