Perennial herbs; stem branched or rarely simple, sulcate, erect, 50-150 cm tall, glabrous; roots fibrous. Radical leaves wilted at anthesis; cauline leaves triternate to tetraternate, leaflets 27-45, ovate, obovate or deltoid, chartaceous, 7-34 mm long, 5-38 mm wide, base truncate, cuneate or obtuse, entire, deeply 3-lobed, middle segment 3-lobed, lateral segments usually 2-lobed, dark green above, glabrous beneath; nerves elevated only beneath, margin not thickened; petiole base widely sheathing, stipules membranaceous. Inflorescence cymose paniculate, terminal or lateral. Flowers yellowish-green: pedicel glabrous; sepals 4, elliptic, 2-2.7 mm long, 1-1.4 mm wide, retuse, dentate, caducous main veins 3; stamens numerous, 4.5-5.5 mm long, anthers linear, 0.9-1.3 mm long, filaments linear, dilated above, whitish, connectives mucronulate; carpels 8-10-(15), glabrous, 2-2.7 mm, sessile, style long, persistent, recurved-circinate. Achenes fusiform, glabrous, shallowly stirate, 4.5-5.8 mm long, sessile.

Endemic. Beside streams, wet places and forests in the central mountains, Hsuehshan, Yushan and Alishan above 2,500 m.

植株全部無毛。莖高(30一)50一100釐米，中部以上分枝。基生葉在開花時枯萎。莖生葉4—6，為三至四回三出複葉;葉片長6—25釐米，小葉紙質，頂生小葉倒卵形、橢圓形、或近圓形，長1.2—2.5釐米，寬1—1.8釐米，基部寬楔形、圓形或淺心形，三淺裂，有圓齒，背面脈隆起，脈網明顯，小葉柄長0.5—1.4釐米；葉柄長達5.5釐米，托葉棕色，膜質，邊緣流蘇狀分裂，寬2—3毫米。花序近二歧狀分枝，傘房狀或圓錐狀，有少數或多數花；花梗長3—7(一10)毫米；萼片4，長2.5—3毫米，早落；雄蕊多數，長2—5毫米，花藥長0.6—1毫米，花絲上部倒披針形，比花藥稍寬，下部絲形，心皮8一15。瘦果狹橢圓形，長2—3毫米，有6—8條縱肋，宿存花柱長0.6—1毫米，頂端拳卷。 4—7月開花。
