1. Blastus cochinchinensis Lour. 柏拉木
A shrub; branches glabrous. Leaves 3-nerved, ovate, veins distinct on both surfaces, acuminate to caudex at apex, obtuse to attenuate at base, entire at margin, 7.5-15 cm long, 2.5-5.5 cm broad, very shortly hairy at both surfaces. Inflorescence axillary umbellate; peduncles sessile. Calyx about 2 mm long, with 4 lobes; petals 4, about 3 mm long; stamens 4, equal; ovary inferior, 4-celled; styles 5-7 mm long. Fruit capsular, ovoid, tetragona, 2-3 mm across, 3 mm long.
Distributed from eastern India through Indo-China and southern China to Taiwan, the Ryukyus; Taiwan throughout the island under the forest at altitude 100-1,600 m.
