1. Tripterygium wilfordii Hook. f. 雷公藤
A climbing shrub, the branchlets 5 angular, tomentose. Leaves subcoriaceous, alternate, ovate oblong to broadly elliptic, crenate, caudate acuminate at the apex, 7-9 cm long, 5-6 cm wide; petioles about 7 mm long. Flowers in a cyme, the peduncles 1-1.3 cm long. Fruit indehiscent, 14 mm long, 13 mm wide, 3 winged, the wings membranaceous, the margins entire, 1 seeded.
East China and Japan. Taiwan, in thickets of the northern parts, rare.
