12. ZEHNERIA Endl. 馬交兒屬

Small to medium sized perennial vines. Stems often with suffrutescent bases or rhizomes, branches herbaceous; tendrils simple or rarely bifid. Leaves simple, often palmately lobed. Plants monoecious or dioecious; flowers yellowish white, perianth tube elongate; calyx lobes 5, deltoid, tooth-like; corolla campanulate, lobes 5; staminate inflorescences axillary, racemose or rarely single flowered; stamens 3, inserted in the middle to the bottom of receptacle, all anthers with 2 anther sacs, anther sacs straight or curved, pistillodes on the bottom of receptacle; basal disc prominent, free from the receptacle tube; pistillate flowers solitary or clustered, with long pedicels; staminodes 3; ovary globose to fusiform, glabrous, stigmas 3-lobed; basal disc surrounding the style base. Fruits globose to fusiform, smooth or slightly punctate. Seeds many, small, elliptic to obovate, lenticular, compressed. Type Species: Zehneria baureriana Endl.
