9. Euonymus tashiroi Maxim. 菱葉衛矛
Shrubs; branches and branchlets glabrous, 4-angled or terete. Leaves opposite, subcoriaceous or coriaceous, oblong rhombic, 5-10 cm long, 2-4.5 cm wide, acute to acuminate at the apex, cuneate to acute at the base, the margins serrate or nearly entire above the middle and entire beneath the middle, glabrous; petioles 0.5-1 cm long. Flowers solitary or few clustered, on the terminal of young branchlets; peduncles 1-5 cm long. Capsule 4 loculed, the sterile ones flattened, the fertile ones rounded, 7 mm across, with persistent sepals.
The Ryukyus. Taiwan, at low to medium altitudes throughout the island.

菱叶卫矛 Euonymus tashiroi Maxim.
常綠小灌木;小枝方形，4棱明顯呈窄邊狀。葉薄革質，近菱形或菱狀橢圓形，長4—8釐米，寬2—4釐米，先端漸尖，基部窄楔形，邊緣下卷，有疏淺鋸齒，側脈疏生，最下1對靠近葉緣，在兩面均不甚明顯;葉柄短，長2—5毫米。聚傘花序短，1—2腋生，1—3花;花序梗長在1釐米以下;花白綠色;花瓣邊緣波狀;雄蕊花絲極短，花藥2室，平展，圓孔狀開裂;子房具短花柱。蒴果4深裂，常只1—2裂片發育成熟;種子每室1個，室軸著生，假種皮舟狀蓋於外側。
我國臺灣省特產，分佈於台東台中等地。生長山地，海拔1 000米左右處。模式標本采自臺灣。
李惠林、侯定等曾把本種轉入溝瓣屬，但本種胚珠軸著生，果熟時分佈為4個不等的深裂片，顯然是衛矛屬植物。
