10. Viburnum parvifolium Hayata 小葉莢迷

Small shrub; branchlets slender, divaricate, stellate pubescent. Leaves chartaceous, ovate to oblong or orbicular, sometimes trilobed, variable in shade and size, smaller ones ca. 1 cm across, larger ones 3 cm long, 1-2 cm wide, apex rounded to acute, base cuneate to rounded, irregularly broadly dentate, upper surface glabrous or stellate pubescent on veins, midrib impressed, reticulations indistinct, lower surface scattered stellate pubescent especially on veins, midrib raised, lateral veins 3 or 4 per side, impressed on upper surface, strongly raised on lower surface, erect-ascending, ending in marginal teeth, reticulations inconspicuous; petiole 4-6 mm long, sulcate, densely stellate pubescent. Fruits red, oblong or globose, ca. 7-10 mm across.

Endemic. Mountains of the central range, 2,500-3,300 m, rare.
