5. Thalictrum urbaini Hayata var. urbaini. 傅氏唐松草

Perennial herbs with tubers; stem unbranched, smoothc, erect, 10-40 cm tall, glabrous; roots fibrous. Radical leaves long petiolate, biternate to triternate, leaflets 9-27, ovate, obovate or elliptic, chartaceous, 6-39 mcm long, 5-35 mm wide, base cuneate, obtuse or truncate, sometimes cordate, entire, 3(-5-7)-lobed, dark green above, glabrous on both surfaces; nerves elevated, margin slightly thickened beneath; petiolulate, stipules membranaceous, glabrous, entire or nearly so. Inflorescence a cyme or panicle, terminal. Flowers white or pinkish; pedicel glabrous; sepals 4, obovate, 3-3.5 mm long, 1.5-2 mm wide, apex acute or obtuse more or less dentate, main veins 3, almost glabrous, caducous; stamens numerous, 5-7.2 mm long, anthers elliptic, filaments linear, dilated above, connective retuse; carpels 15-30, glabrous, 2-3.5 mm long, stipulate, style short, persistent, recurved. Achenes 10-25, fusiform, glabrous, deeply striate, 4-7 mm long, long stipitate.

Endemic. Widely distributed throughout the island, especially in wet places under forests and forest margins.
