Shrubs or trees; branches slender, young branchlets densely covered with appressed scaly hairs. Leaves chartaceous, crowded at tip or scattered along branches, oblong , 3-5 cm long, 1-2.5 cm broad, apex broadly acute, apiculate, base cuneate, margin entire, recurved, upper surface green, lower surface pale, appressed strigose on both surfaces, midrib raised on lower surface, lateral veins 4 or 5 per side; petiole 5-8 mm long, densely appressed furfurescent or appressed strigose. Flower solitary; calyx lobes elongate-ovate, densely strigose; corolla white or light purple, deeply 5-lobed; stamens 5, filaments slightly pilose at base; ovary and base of style pubescent.

Endemic. In forests at 1,700-2,200 m in the central and southern parts of the central ranges.

　　常綠性灌木。葉長橢圓形至長橢圓狀橢圓形，叢生枝梢。枝梢葉腋萌發白色、淡粉紅色至玫瑰色花，具深色斑點，花冠漏斗形，雄蕊5枚，離生。

　　因為生育地狹隘，族群數量又不多，屬於瀕臨絕種之物種。

• 族群分布：海拔1700～2200m的南部山區，主要集生於高雄縣的石山與溪南山一帶，混生於闊葉林下層或針闊葉混合林緣。

• 最佳賞花地點及時間：因為分布較侷限，族群集生高雄縣山區，野外不常見，每年四月中旬花期，藤枝林道的石山秀湖附近，獵豔機率高。
