9. Taxillus theifer (Hayata) H. S. Kiu 埔姜桑寄生

Leaves subopposite, coriaceous, ovate to obovate-oblong, 4.5-5 cm long, 2-2.5 cm borad; apex obtuse to rounded, base cuneate; petioles 3 mm long. Flowers in dense pedunculate or sessile fascicles; bracts triangular, 1.6 mm long, 1 mm broad; calyx tube 2 mm long; corolla tube 2 mm long, thinly pubescent outside; anthers 4 mm long; style filiform.

Endemic. Parasitic on Acer kawakamii Koidz., Aleurites fordii Hemsl., Aphananthe aspera Planch., Pistacia chinensis Bunge, Pyrus serotina Rehder, Prunus mume Sieb. & Zucc., Sapindus mukorossi Gaertn. The outstanding characteristic of this species is in the rounded apex of the leaves.

台湾钝果寄生 Taxillus theifer (Hayata) H. S. Kiu

灌木，高约1米；芽密被灰褐色短星状毛，小枝和成长叶均无毛，小枝灰色，具皮孔。叶近对生，薄革质，椭圆形或倒卵状长圆形，长4-5厘米，宽1.1-2厘米，顶端圆钝，基部契形；侧脉3-4对，略明显；叶柄长3-5毫米。伞形花序，2-3个腋生或生于小枝已落叶腋部，具花3-5朵，花序和花均被星状毛，稍后毛变稀疏，总花梗长3-4毫米；花梗长2.5-3毫米；苞片阔三角形，长约1毫米；花托椭圆状，长约2毫米；副萼环状，具4齿；花冠花蕾时管状，长1.7-2厘米，稍弯，下半部稍膨胀，顶部椭圆状，裂片4枚，披针形，长约7毫米，反折；花丝长1.5-2毫米，花药长2.5-3毫米；花柱线状，柱头头状。果椭圆状，长7-8毫米，直径3.5-4毫米，两端钝圆，果皮具小瘤体。花果期11月至翌年2月。

产于台湾南部。海拔500-800米山地常绿阔叶林中，寄生于黄荆等植物上。模式标本采自台湾屏东。
