1. Pyrenaria shinkoensis (Hayata) Keng烏皮茶

Small trees; branches pubescent when young. Leaves thin-coriaceous, oblong or obovate, 8-12 cm long, 3.5-4.5 cm wide, apex acute or acuminate with obtuse tip, base cuneate, margins serrate toward apex, entire downwards, the midrib impressed above, veinlets elevated and reticulated beneath; petioles 6-8 mm long. Flowers white, solitary, axillary; pedicels 3-4 mm long, pilose, bracts semiorbicular, densely sericeo-pubescent outside; sepals 5, deciduous, unequal, orbicular, 4-7 mm in diameter, densely sericeo-pubescent outside; petals 5, unequal, connate at the base, outer ones obovate-oblong, 1-1.5 cm long, emarginate at the apex, sericeo-pubescent without on the central part of the surface; stamens numerous, connate at base, 7-9 mm long; ovary densely sericeo-pubescent; style 1, 7-8 mm long. Fruit spherical, 3-lobed, 1.2-1.8 cm long, silky pubescent; seeds 2-3 (usually 3) in each valve, compressed, ca. 1 cm long.
