A small scandent shrub; branchlets minutely puberulous, soon glabrous. Leaves oblong, 2-3 cm long, 1-1.5 cm broad, acute to obtusish at apex, acute at base, obscurely dentate along the margins, glabrous on both surfaces, dark and shining above, pale beneath, the midrib conspicuous above, raised beneath, the lateral veins 3-7 per side, very slender, conspicuous above, subconspicuous beneath, the veinlets fine, parallel, subconspicuous; petioles 1 mm long. Flowers several together, axillary, pentamerous, about 2.5 mm across; pedicels 1-1.5 mm long, glabrous.

Endemic; from Hengchun Peninsula to the east and northeast coasts.
