1. Berrya ammonilla Roxb. 六翅木

A large tree. Leaves ovate, 10-20 cm long, 6-8 cm wide, apex acute, base cordate, subcoriaceous; stipules ensiform. Panicles large, many-flowered, pubescent; calyx about 4 mm long, campanulate, 3-5-lobed, lobes triangular-ovate, downy petals 5, linear-spatulate, twice the length of the calyx; stamens numerous filaments about 4 mm long; ovary ovate; style short; stigma 3-cleft. Capsules 6 winged, rounded; wings netted, villose; each loculus with 1-2 or rarely 4 seeds.

S. India and Ceylon to the Philippine Islands, Taiwan.
