1. Actinostemma tenerum Griff. 合子草
A slender pilose to glabrescent vine. Leaves membranceous to chartaceous, more or less symmetrical, ovate to triangular, sometimes shallowly 3-5-lobed, 3-12 cm long, 2-8 cm wide, acuminate to obtuse at the apex, cordate to auriculate at the base, slightly denticulate at the margins, punctate-scabrous above, pilose to glabrescent beneath; petioles 1-6 cm long. Flowers small, yellowish white; calyx segments linear-lanceolate; corolla lobes lanceolate, 5-6 mm long. Fruits pale green to green, 1.5-2.5 cm long, 1-2 cm wide.
Distributed in India, Indochina, China, Korea, and Japan. Taiwan, mainly in meadows and thickets along the river. Flowering May-Nov. TAIPEI: Sanchanli, Masamune 2775. KEELUNG: Peng 1587. CHIAYI: Shuantou, Morimoto s. n.1942. PINGTUNG: Lichiang, Henry 1666.
