1. Thladiantha nudiflora Hemsl. ex Forbes & Hemsl. 青牛膽

A perennial villose vine. Tendrils bifid, coiled above the forked point. Leaves membranceous to chartaceous, more or less symmetrical, ovate to suborbicular, 5-15 cm long, 4-13 cm wide, acuminate to acute at the apex, cordate at the base, irregularly and very shallowly denticulate at the margins, scabrous above, villose beneath; petioles 2-12 cm long. Flowers yellow; calyx segments ovate-lanceolate, 3-6 mm long; corolla lobes ovate-oblong, 10-15 mm long, 6-7 mm wide. Fruits green, pubescent, turning red and glabrescent at maturity, globose to oblong, 3-5 cm long, 3-4 cm wide.

Central and southern China. Taiwan, in the mountain area at altitude of 600-1700 m, common on footpath in the broad-leaved forest and woods.
