多年生。根莖粗短；稈獨立或數枝叢生，高35-100 cm。葉基生，寬4-6mm。葉狀總苞3-6；小穗線形，橫截面圓，長8-40 mm；鱗片長1.8-2 mm；花柱短。瘦果黑褐色，長橢圓形。
低海拔常見雜草。
