花单独顶生，红色，直径5-10厘米，无柄，苞被未分化，10-21片，花后脱落；花瓣5-12片，高度连生；雄蕊多轮，外轮花丝连生成管；子房3室，稀5室，多数被毛，稀秃净；花柱连生，稀离生，先端3-5浅裂，果实大，每室有种子1-5个。
